Donna Patterson

Hello! I am Donna Patterson. I grew up in Jacksonville, Alabama where I attended elementary, high school  and college. I graduated from Jacksonville State University with a B.S. in Elementary Education. After teaching a few years, I went back to school and graduated from Piedmont College with a Masters Degree in Early Childhood.
I have had the pleasure of  teaching 30 years in Douglas County, 16 years at Factory Shoals Elementary and 14 years at Chapel Hill Elementary. Currently, I am teaching first grade. I have spent many years teaching second grade as well. I have been fortunate to "loop" with my class several times over the years. Once, I looped from 2nd to 3rd grade.  Throughout the years,  I have enjoyed watching my students grow into successful adults which is one of the greatest joys of teaching.

I am married with 2 wonderful children, Chase and Anna Blair, and the most awesome grandsons, Lucas and Asher. I love the beach and being with my family. I also enjoy watching baseball and football, especially the Braves, Jacksonville State University, and the University of Alabama.
