Hello My Name is...
Mrs. Gretchen Rakestraw

My name is Gretchen Rakestraw and I am excited to be part of the CHES Cheetah family.

I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, AL.  I attended the University of Alabama where I received a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  I received a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Coppin State.  
I have experience as a 3rd grade and Title I teacher in Paulding Co for 7 years, the co-director of Seeds of Faith Preschool for 7 years, and as a 2nd grade teacher at Heirway Christian Academy for 5 years. 
My husband and I have a daughter, Maddy, who is a freshman at Kennesaw and a son, Adam, who is a Junior at Carrollton City High School.
I enjoy Bama football, the beach, the lake, reading, cooking, and ice cream!
